
As for Fawcett, Saigon chose him. A chance invitation to Vietnam to train in bartending has kept the young man from England for more than a decade. He has been drawing since he was 3 years old and has never attended any drawing classes. He even teaches drawing to others. Drawing in Saigon not only satisfies his passion but also helps him become a part of the city.
“The rhythm of Saigon moves like the tides. It is a harmony between old and new, modern and traditional, architecture, cuisine, art. All combine to create the city’s identity. However, because of the pandemic, Saigon’s inner strength is no longer as strong as before,” he said.
